Bethany Rushing is the Founder and Consultant of The Dahlia Group, where she partners with nonprofits to strengthen fundraising strategy, organizational systems, and long-term sustainability. With more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Bethany has worked across a wide range of mission areas including community development, public policy, disability advocacy, food security, education, and the humanities.
Her background spans frontline fundraising, grantmaking, board and staff development, donor strategy, and organizational assessment, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how nonprofits grow and where they often get stuck. Through The Dahlia Group, she helps organizations build practical, mission-aligned fundraising systems that support both immediate goals and long-term impact.
Bethany holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University and an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Johnson & Wales University. She is passionate about helping organizations move from reactive fundraising to thoughtful, sustainable growth rooted in clarity, strategy, and strong relationships.
Outside of work, Bethany enjoys exploring local coffee shops with her dog, Wally, experimenting in the kitchen, and finding inspiration through travel, community spaces, and meaningful conversation.
